Star 360 Enters the League as New Licensee for the Italian Sports Brand


Trevignano (Italy)/Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), 20 October 2008 - Lotto Sport Italia, the leading Italian company in sports footwear, clothing and accessories has appointed Star 360 Sdn Bhd, as its new licensee for the Malaysian market.

The agreement, which was officially announced during the press conference, held in Kuala Lumpur, will allow the new licensee to market Lotto's branded products throughout Malaysia until 31st December 2013 with a renewal option for a further 5 year term.

To officially seal the partnership with Star 360, Luca Tomat, Business Unit Director Asia Pacific of Lotto Sport Italia, declared during the press conference, "Malaysia is a key strategic market for a soccer specialist brand like Lotto but also a promising country for our expansion ambitions into sport lifestyle. For this reason we have decided to partner up with Star 360, an experienced company able to reach any possible distribution channel, serving both the mass and the premium, the performance and the leisure consumer segments. Lotto believes that Star 360's competence in local market knowledge combined with Lotto's Italian design and technology will make this venture a very successful one in Malaysia."

Star 360 has come up with a distinctive strategy to market the performance and sportswear collections characterised by typical Italian technology, design and style. As well as including the Lotto international collection, the lines offered include specially catered products to meet the Malaysian market needs.

With Star 360's vast experience in marketing and distribution, Lotto Sport Italia will be distributed in sports specialised chain-stores and large stores with dedicated sports departments. Star 360 will also emphasise Lotto's presence by developing the retail area through mono-brand stores which are quickly becoming a widespread phenomenon throughout the country.
