22/04/2008 - SPAIN: DAVID FERRER WINS THE ATP TENNIS TOURNAMENT IN VALENCIA.

The number 1 seed David Ferrer won the ATP Open of Valencia, sponsored by Lotto, beating his countryman Nicolas Almagro in the final 4-6 6-2 7-6(2).
Although Almagro served twice for the match, David Ferrer was a step ahead and forced with an incredible sequence of aces; he served 11 aces only in the third set.
Thanks to his aggressive game Ferrer was able to win the tournament in 2 hours and 5 minutes.
